Staples customer who told woman to wear mask is thrown to ground, has broken leg

A 54-12 months-aged New Jersey female experienced a damaged leg just after she was thrown to the floor in a Staples by a further shopper whom she experienced informed to dress in a mask, authorities claimed.

Law enforcement have launched surveillance movie from the incident that occurred at about 3:19 p.m. Wednesday at a Staples in Hackensack.

Margot Kagan, of Teaneck, advised police she was applying a fax machine at the retail store when a lady with a mask pulled down underneath her mouth approached a equipment next to her. Kagan, who, in accordance to police, had a liver transplant 4 months back and was walking with a cane, advised the girl to put her mask on.

“The suspect became indignant and yelled at the victim, who picked up her strolling cane and pointed it straight at the suspect, coming inside of inches of the suspect’s upper body,” claimed Capt. Darrin DeWitt, a detective with the Hackensack Police Department.

The lady then yelled at Kagan, violently threw her to the ground and still left the shop, DeWitt stated.

Kagan was taken to a hospital in which she was diagnosed with a fractured still left tibia, in accordance to DeWitt.
